Invested by Jiangsu Sujia Group, a large-scale private enterprise with a history of more than 30 years, Jiangsu Yunlin Elderly Care Development Group Co.,Ltd (hereinafter referred to as “Yunlin Group”) was officially established in 2017 and started its business from 2014. Yunlin Group has introduced the Dutch Humanitas (Life Apartment) model - taking “happy retired life” as their core business, advocating advanced elderly care philosophies, such as, Yes culture, ‘use it or lose it’ and extended family culture, which has achieved great success in The Netherlands and has a worldwide influence on elderly care.
In 2016, Yunlin Group built up its first project named Yunlin Life Apartment - the first Life Apartment in China and the 34th in the world - which is a home-based and elderly-oriented community providing living, entertainment, as well as medical and care services. Its basic forms of business include elderly-oriented apartments, a rehabilitation hospital (nursing center included), a shared hall and other commercial facilities.
The guiding principle for Yunlin Group is: “real estate is serving elderly care”, which means that the construction of apartments is not a goal in itself, it acts as the living facilities for elderly care services. The whole project, from design, sales, marketing, decoration, information system to follow-up elderly care services, all are managed and operated by our own team. Meanwhile, we have actively established long-term contacts with concerning Dutch organizations, constantly absorbing advanced elements and philosophies into our project. We have carried out deep and long-term cooperation with Professor Hans Becker, founder of the Dutch Humanitas. And in 2018, we have appointed Andreas Jager, the former general manager of the Dutch Humanitas, as general manger of Yunlin Elderly Care Service Co.,Ltd.
One apartment for normal living is an option;
One apartment for retirement is a necessity.
To learn the Humanitas model more deeply, 23 employees were sent to The Netherlands. They accepted professional training and used it as a trigger to establish an International teacher and consultant team; to deliver better elderly care service. Together with the Dutch Avans+ University and Wuxi Taihu University, Yunlin Nursing Training Center was established to develop professional caregivers and promote the “happy retired life” philosophy. To help solve elderly people’s medical problems, a hotel-style rehabilitation hospital was set up. To create a platform for intelligent elderly care, a professional team for information system was built up. To make apartments financially easier affordable for more elderly people, a replacement housing agency (old housing for new) was founded. We also founded the Yunlin Happy Retired Life Foundation to spread the “happy retired life” philosophy.
Aiming at benefiting more Chinese elderly people with “happy retired life” services, Yunlin Group will continue to work on building up more lively and happy communities that can meet the actual needs of the elderly in China, as well as establishing “happy retired life” services, care and rehabilitation standards with Chinese characteristics.
